Attorney Robert W. Maucker, of counsel to this firm, comes to the practice of law with a fund of practical experience gained over a 30-year period in the Construction and Architectural Woodworking industries. Mr. Maucker litigates claims for Plaintiffs and Defendants including Personal Injury and Medical Malpractice, Federal Civil Rights Litigation and other worthwhile cases.
Mr. Maucker graduated Macalester College, St. Paul, Minnesota, with a degree in International Relations and a GPA of 4.0. Having chosen not to enter into government service, Mr. Maucker instead entered into business in Berkley, California in 1970 in the Woodworking and Cabinetmaking industry.
Returning to his native Midwest, Mr. Maucker founded and managed for seven years the design and production end of the M.J. Fisher & Co. subsidiary, SCI Institutional Furniture.
In 1992, Mr. Maucker acted on a long held desire to enter into the practice of law. Mr. Maucker made use of his strong academic background and enrolled in the DePaul University College of Law from which he graduated in 1997. Mr. Maucker was sworn and licensed in 1998, and began his practice thereafter.
In the year 2000, Mr. Maucker accepted the number two spot in the firm of Zane D. Smith and Associates, a downtown Chicago firm specializing in Personal Injury and Medical Malpractice claims. From that point on Mr. Maucker was steeped in performing “hands on” litigation work, representing clients in court who required someone who could get the necessary result.
After three years of working with Mr. Zane in July of 2003, Mr. Maucker took his practice solo until having met Mr. Lynch as an adversary, he became associated with that firm as a litigation attorney, serving as in “Of Counsel” capacity.
Mr. Maucker is currently engaged in the firm’s litigation practice, representing clients in both State and Federal Courts. He also handles matters in Probate and assists clients in the preparation of Wills and Trusts.
